40s style hat I made to go with the dress I'm making, woot woot. Drafted it myself, not that it was very hard. It's held in place by two hair clips sewn inside it. I really like how it turned out. And to think, I was actually going to buy one instead!
Inspired by: no specific design, just spent a while looking at pictures in my historical fashion books, as well as photos of vintage hats on ebay. Fabric/materials: faux fur, taffeta lining, plastic interfacing (It came with the fur, I'm not really sure what it is! It looks like dense netting made of flexible plastic), netting, ribbon flowers. Era: America, 1940s
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
Please FULL VIEW all these amazing pieces of ART. Visit the artists pages and give them a :+fav and your support. Thank you for taking the time........
