Diagram Instructions for Large Hood by eqos Diagram Instructions for Large Hood by eqos
Goes with this pattern: [link]

If you repost, don't be a dick. Give me credit and link back to this page!

Cheater note: When I make this hood, I don't cut out the curve for the face opening, I just leave it straight. That way gets more face coverage, which I like.

Enjoy.

It took several read-throughs for me to understand what was going on. I do believe I'm going to make a mock-up with an old sheet I have tucked away for just such a purpose! Thank you so much for sharing this!

Yes. I love using old sheets for mockups. I hope it turns out for you!

I'm a bit confused about the liripipe pieces, is it just a strip of cloth that hangs from the back of the hood for decoration or is part of the hood in some way I don't understand?

It basically is a tube of cloth that hangs from the top of the back. Some people make them wider so they can wrap around the neck like a scarf, but I've never seen them very wide in period art.

I love this pattern, regular liripipe patterns waste so much fabric. I actually only just finished my hood made from this last night. Next up will be attempting to adjust the pattern to make the hood hang lower, so I'll have enough space to cut some nice dagging into it. :)
